Couture show in unusual semi-sheer black top and matching flowing skirt
She's never one to shy away from making an outlandish style statement.
So Rose McGowan must have been thrilled to have another excuse to work her sartorial powers, as she attended the Jean Paul Gaultier Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2015 in Paris on Wednesday.
The 41-year-old actress went along to see the runway show in the French capital along with a host of other fashionable stars, but certainly stood out from the crowd.
With her short black pixie crop gelled to look spiky, she made her appearance even more edgy with her lips painted a vampy, deep red shade, contrasting against her naturally pale skin tone.
However, it was her unusual choice of clothing that really stole the show.
My how she's changed! Rose McGowan attended the Jean Paul Gaultier Haute Couture show in Paris in a head-to-toe look from the designer's Spring collection. It was an interesting turn for the Chosen actress who recently chopped off her signature long locks and wore a black top with colorful embroidery over its sheer netting and a matching maxi skirt.

The outfit was a part of Jean Paul Gaultier's final ready-to-wear line and naturally he went out with a bang. The brand is recognized for their unusual and often over-the-top creations (remember Madonna's iconic cone bra?) and this design, with its Mexican mask motif was no different.
Rose was part of a gaggle of famous faces that showed up to support the style legend at his runway event, including Dita von Teese and Naomi Campbell, who closed the show in a sheer getup decorated with orchids.
While being covered in lucha libre headwear and bright stars might not be your thing, we do have a few more subtle alternatives for you. These sheer embroidered tops from Lucky Brand and Juicy Couture will be sure to satiate your appetite for something out of the norm.
The skirt was cut in a similar way; sheer with the eye-catching design across it, with the fitted top of the garment hugging her hips in a less-than-flattering fashion.
However, with a maverick sense of style, Rose managed to pull off the strong look with ease at the show, which made up part of Paris' Haute Couture Fashion Week.
Last week, Rose made a bold fashion statement as she attended The Daily Front Row‘s Fashion Los Angeles Awards, donning a bright purple felt cap that resembled a change of hairstyle.
On Wednesday, she watched the likes of iconic supermodel Naomi Campbell walk the runway for the popular French fashion designer, who strutted down the catwalk nearly nude but for what appeared to be green underwear under a cellophane wrapping.
She was joined on the runway by the designer himself at the end of the show, who walked on to rapturous applause.
Also at the show were Dita Von Teese - who previously modelled for the high-end designer - Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, Catherine Deneuve, Conchita Wurst and Noemie Lenoir.
